Bespoke rugs designed for individual interiors
JAB ANSTOETZ is internationally known for its expertise in textiles and carpets, offering an extensive range of rugs and flooring solutions that combine design, craftsmanship, colour and material.
As an official JAB ANSTOETZ retail partner in Mallorca, KOYO Interior focuses particularly on bespoke rugs and individually configured carpets for our furnishing and interior design projects. From our showroom in Campos, we advise our clients on dimensions, shapes, colours, textures and designs according to the architecture, furniture and atmosphere of the individual property.
Rather than selecting a rug simply as a decorative accessory, we consider it an important part of the overall interior. The right rug can define a seating area, connect furniture within a room, introduce colour and texture and significantly influence how the proportions of a space are perceived.
Made-to-measure carpets in individual sizes, colours and designs
One of the major advantages of the JAB ANSTOETZ carpet collection is the possibility to create rugs according to individual requirements. Depending on the collection and quality, carpets can be produced to specified dimensions and selected from a broad spectrum of colours, structures and designs.
This flexibility is particularly valuable in our projects on Mallorca. A large living area in a finca may require a generously proportioned rug to connect several sofas and armchairs, while a dining area may need an entirely different format determined by the dimensions of the table and the movement of the dining chairs.
Different structures and pile heights also create very different effects. From understated, low-profile textures to softer and more expressive surfaces, the material can be selected according to both the desired atmosphere and the practical requirements of the room.
JAB ANSTOETZ also offers possibilities for individually designed carpets. Selected programmes allow colours and patterns to be adapted, while digitally printed rugs can incorporate graphic, geometric, botanical or individually developed designs.
Choosing the right rug for the room
The dimensions of a rug are just as important as its colour or material. A rug that is too small can visually separate furniture that should belong together, while the right proportions can define a complete seating or dining area.
At KOYO Interior, we therefore determine rug dimensions in relation to the furniture and architecture of the room. For living areas, we consider the position of sofas, armchairs and occasional tables. For dining areas, sufficient space around the table is important so that chairs remain comfortably positioned on the rug when they are moved.
Colour and texture are considered in the same way. A bespoke rug can quietly connect existing materials and colours or deliberately become a defining element within the interior.
This makes individually configured rugs particularly useful for our manufacturer-independent approach to interior design: they can create the visual connection between furniture, fabrics, lighting, artwork and the architecture of the property.
Outdoor rugs for terraces and Mediterranean living
Rugs can also play an important role in outdoor living. On a large terrace, an outdoor rug helps define lounge and dining areas and creates a more residential atmosphere outside.
JAB ANSTOETZ offers dedicated indoor and outdoor carpet qualities developed for these applications. The PATIO collection, for example, is individually handmade to the requested dimensions and uses a durable material made from recycled synthetic fibres while retaining a soft and natural appearance. Other collections also include outdoor qualities that combine textile character with the practical requirements of exterior use.
For properties in Mallorca, we consider the position and use of an outdoor rug carefully. A protected terrace, a lounge underneath a pergola and an exposed pool area can have very different requirements.
Outdoor rugs can also help visually connect indoor and outdoor living areas – particularly in contemporary villas where large glass façades and terraces create a continuous relationship between the interior and exterior.
